To act, knowing the results of my actions
touch countless people and
reach far beyond this moment.
To approach each task with a desire to accomplish,
not just a plan to complete.
To acknowledge and appreciate each individual
for who they are,
what they do, and
the challenges they face.
To remember that before offering my help,
I should first wrap it
in a layer of care and understanding.
To seek adventure through the knowledge
that each relationship begins with a stranger.
To remember that with each encounter
— however long and in whatever form —
the impression I make could be a lasting one.
To live knowing that each day
is a garland of opportunities —
to learn, to help, to care, and to share.
To be mindful of these possibilities is to be
keenly in tune with my primary purpose in life.
