Not one to savor
Her favorite was Franzia
Straight from the box
She would giggle
Then hop to the dance floor
It made her head spin
But she never stopped
With time came maturity
Along with life’s lessons
They brought her to notice
The shadows and gaps
To help fill those misses
The box morphed to bottles
With flavors so complex
They tangled her thoughts
Then one day she stopped
To ponder the nectar
Smooth on the tongue
Full-bodied and dry
She then came to realize
In savoring the layers
Reward often flows from
Rich bottles of wine
